About

Mounir Derbal (1997) is a writer and director of fiction and experimental cinema. His debut short film, "Nel Blu", was supported by the Cineteca di Bologna. He recently completed a trilogy of hybrid short films blending fiction and archival footage: "youcanuselemons", "Hard Rain Noon", and "Lily, Lily, Lily". He is currently developing two feature films: "BadLand", a low-budget sci-fi finalist at the Biennale College Cinema ‘24, and "Via di Bravetta, 415", a transcultural coming-of-age story set in 2006, amidst flip phones and MTV.
